At vehicle mileage 11,308 with original tires and traveling at highway speed of approximately 70 miles per hour on an interstate highway, the right rear tire suffered a catastrophic, sudden blowout. The loss of control placed the vehicle and its occupants in immediate danger of collision with surrounding highway traffic. The vehicle was towed to Mercedes-Benz of Hilton Head where both rear tires were found to have worn excessively on the inside of the tire due to excessive negative camber built into the factory suspension geometry. Ten days after the blowout, we presented the vehicle to Merce…

we list the car on 2024 in the same year, EQS450+ 2024 model from S.M Dealer. In a few months after drove the car , I notice about the break having the problem, I took the car to S.M repair center,. Then again, a few months after the same problem, then Mr. Antonio Aranda, the service advisor, has indicated that the car break has been ok and there is no issue. We took the care gain, we had the same problem, and we have told by the same person that there are 2 recalls for this car, I asked why they didn't tell me about the recall, and got no respond. For the 3rd time I took the car to them wit…

I am submitting this report regarding a serious and potentially fatal unintended vehicle acceleration incident that occurred immediately after my vehicle was returned from repair. I originally brought the vehicle to the dealership’s body shop following a collision. The repairs included the replacement and repair of cracked grille covers, sensors, rear damage, and the rear camera system. The vehicle remained at the repair facility for approximately one month during the repair process. After finally picking up the vehicle, I drove and tested it for many miles without noticing any obvious issue…

2024 Mercedes-Maybach S 580 4MATIC, VIN [XXX] , sold to me on 01/21/2026 by Peoria Motor Company LLC d/b/a Mercedes-Benz of [XXX] for $144,995, financed by Mercedes-Benz Financial Services. The dealer's Certified Pre-Owned Inspection Report is dated 01/28/2026 — seven days AFTER contract and one day AFTER the vehicle was shipped to me in California — meaning no valid CPO inspection existed at sale. The dealer's own Service Invoice XXX dated 01/06/2026 shows Line G "rear bumper damage — Recommended NOT Performed," confirming the dealer knew of unrepaired damage and sold the vehicle anyway. Ind…

On [XXX] at approximately [XXX] PDT, a 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV 450+ caught fire at an intersection in Irvine, California. The vehicle was being driven normally. It was NOT charging. It was NOT in a collision. It was stopped at the intersection when the fire began. There was no warning. Four occupants were inside: the driver (age [XXX] ), two minor children (ages [XXX] and [XXX] ), and one elderly passenger (age [XXX] ). All four escaped, but narrowly — the rear child safety locks barely released in time for the children to exit. The vehicle sustained catastrophic cabin burn-through and is…

Trunk opening and closing without warning. First incident occurred when sunroof was open and wouldn't close. Trunk would randomly open even when the car was parked and locked. Trunk opened when car was off and parked and pinned my 5 year old son between the trunk and our garage door. Trunk closed without warning and almost decapitated my husband and son Additionally, the door handles on the exterior of the car are constantly closing on our hands, pinching fingers and hands.

Mar 4, 2026Electrical system

Signs of arcing on high voltage charge port. The issue was first identified and reported to an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership (Pleasanton, CA) at approximately 41,000 miles. Despite the safety implications, the dealership chose not to perform a repair has denied warranty coverage, claiming Electrify America charging station for the caused.

Nov 18, 2025Steering, Lane departure, Forward collision avoidance

While driving, the vehicle’s lane keeping system applied an unintended and aggressive steering input during a lane change. I was merging left when the system suddenly forced the steering sharply to the right without driver command. This was not a gentle correction—it was a strong, unexpected movement that could have caused a collision if another vehicle was nearby. In addition, the vehicle has ongoing intermittent ADAS malfunctions, including false forward-collision warnings, proximity sensors activating with no obstacles present, and Park Assist activating while the vehicle is moving on norm…
